Here are a few of my first impressions about the new Xbox Live Arcade title Castle Crashers:

1. I like the style of graphics. It is like a well animated flash game; colorful and cheery yet able to subtly show signs of gore and war. Very cool.

2. Fun RPG flavored Hack and Slash beat ‘em up. If the guys from Double Dragon met the rogue from Diablo II and had a weirdly drawn child, this game would be it. I like how you can upgrade your weapons and stats.

3. Not sure about the multiplayer yet. It looks like it’ll be fun, I just haven’t played it for that long; plus I am only playing the demo at the moment. Yet I think 4 player co-op/beating each other up will be a blast.

4. Is it just me, or are those upside down crosses on their helmets? Are we dealing with cartoon satanists? hmmmm..
