360 Hades

May 27th, 2008

I went from high the mountaintop to the valley in less than 24 hours.  My new 360 was running like a dream and the gaming was sweet until it started freezing up.  It started a trickle and became a mighty froze river.  The DVD Rom started locking up the system.  Luckily, geeks.com is a very hassle free company and the system is considered covered by them.  After a quick call I have my RMA and prepaid shipping…I appreciate them doing it right.  The only bummer is I have to ship the whole thing back, hard drive included so I either have to fork out the dough on a memory stick or just start over on my games.  I think I’ll start over as I only got to play it for a day.

360 has great games and they look nice but the hardware is crap.  I knew that going in though so I was expecting it….whole reason I looked for the cheapest price.  Everybody I know who has one (except one guy) has had to send their system in for repair….new, old, refurb didn’t matter.  I think 360 would be a lot further ahead if their hardware wasn’t so poorly made.

So if you want great games but have to hassle with the hardware then buy a 360 but if you want better hardware but light on the titles and long on load times then PS3.  If you want hassle free gaming that’s fun buy a Wii…that’s what I played this weekend.
