Atari bringing game library to steam (PC)
March 12th, 2008This is kind of funny: The other day I just emailed Wes and Don about how all my PC game purchases seem to be funneled through Valve’s Steam platform. I said that most of the recent games I’ve bought are on Steam the only game that isn’t available that I want to buy is “the Witcher.”
Guess what? It’ll be on Steam soon.
Atari is bringing it’s game library to steam, apparently.
What this means is that there are very few (if any) PC games that I want (ie: can run on my system) that I have to go to the store to get. Combine that with Steam’s excellent Xbox live type chat service, ability to auto patch any game, low prices, and frequent sales…
I think Brick and Mortar stores should be a bit afraid.
EDIT: I just realized there is one upcoming game I want that won’t be on Steam: Starcraft 2. w00t.
