Think women weren’t represented in the video game industry in the early 80s?

Think again.

I remember that early arcades tended to have a high male to female ratio, often because of this little game. Heck, my mom loved Ms. Pac-Man and would play it whenver she got a chance. I never understood the idea that women didn’t play games, because i saw that they did with my own eyes.

They just tended to like a different type of game..go figure.

Anyway that is a interesting write up regarding on of the grand dames of the gaming world. She may not have changed the way we look at things, but she sure did blaze a pellet eating trail.
