Got to play Mario Galaxy this weekend and try out the new incarnation of that franchise.  Nintendo can keep a franchise running longer than any gaming company I know of and for good reason as they used new technologies to reimage old brands.  Mario Galaxy is no exception to this rule.  Nintendo has revitalized Mario on it’s 5th home console and it looks like he’ll keep coming back for more.  The game is fun to play on the new Wii controllers and the game play is innovative.  The graphics look good on the Wii and the colors really pop.  It’s a mix of old jump and run but the levels and new game mechanics keep it from feeling like you’ve been there and done that before.  It’s a new experience for an old series and it just made my wish list for Christmas.
