Imagine my surprise when I decided to look up this band on the net and found that they are still a band, with the original lead singer. As you may have read in my previous post, I thought Silversun Pickups sounded like a mix of Dakoda Motor Company and Smashing Pumpkins.   I wasn’t the biggest Smashing fan, but I loved Dakoda Motor Company.  They produced, in the first two albums, some of the best Christian Alternative Rock of the 90s.  On the third album the lead singer was changed and I think that took most of the heart and soul out of the music.

It didn’t help that I had a major crush on said lead singer…and she went and got married.

Dagnabit….

Anyway they are back with the original singer and working on a new album. I thinkthat is so awesome; I am a major fan of their music and am really excited to see this happening.
