I’m posting a link to an article containing huge spoilers on the new Star Trek movie.  I’m a huge trekker.  My favorite Star Trek series is Deep Space 9 though I know most camps fall into TOS (The Original Series) or STNG (Star Trek The Next Generation).  Needless to say the last installments of Star Trek both tv/movie have been painful for us.  The last movie Nemesis was complete crap and Enterprise (the last tv series) was medicore at best.  Nemesis was painful because the writing didn’t match the characters, the dialog was bad and pretty much ended Patrick Stewart from ever playing Picard again.  Luckily after reading some of the spoilers this movie sounds like it may be heading in the right direction.  I will say the casting is making me nervous….see here and the decision to stick with the more modern look to the older iconic Enterprise…see here.   Hopefully this will breath some much needed life into the franchise and not turn long times fans off.  Oh and somebody cancel Rick Berman’s access to the set…k’thx.
